Commemorations to mark the 250th Anniversary of the Battle of Minden are in full swing this week, with the support of British Forces Germany.Minden, between Herford and Hanover, is packed with visitors for the colourful events to commemorate this unique landmark in its history. This historic battle on 1st August 1759, won by British, Prussian and Hanoverian troops, marked the end of the Seven Years War. British Forces are helping the town stage a spectacular programme of pomp and pageantry, much of which the public can join for free.
